Delegates elect members to ASWB’s 2021–2022 Board of Directors and Nominating Committee
ASWB delegates elected four members to the 2021–2022 ASWB Board of Directors and two members to the Nominating Committee at the organization’s 2021 Annual Meeting of the Delegate Assembly in November.
Board of Directors
Reelected to the ASWB Board of Directors: Brian D. Philson of Michigan as treasurer and Thomas H. Brooks of Minnesota as director at large, public member. Elected for the first time to director at large seats: Sharolyn Wallace of Oklahoma and Glenda M. Webber of Newfoundland & Labrador. All will serve two-year terms.
Roxroy A. Reid of New Mexico, elected in 2020 as president-elect, became president at the conclusion of the meeting, while President Harold Dean of Arkansas transitioned to past president. Reid will serve two years as president followed by one year as past president to complete his term in the office of the president. Dean will serve one year as past president.
Incumbent members of the 11-member ASWB Board of Directors include Karine Levesque of New Brunswick serving as secretary and directors at large Ann-Marie Buchanan of Tennessee, Brenda Dennis of Oregon, Carla H. Moore of Louisiana, and Elizabeth Pope of North Carolina.
Nominating Committee
ASWB delegates elected Vikki Erickson of Nevada and Erin Michel of Ohio to two-year terms on the Nominating Committee. They join incumbents Kenya Anderson of Tennessee, Sonia Bilkhu of British Columbia, and Stephan Viehweg of Indiana. The Nominating Committee is charged with developing slates of candidates for ASWB Board of Directors and Nominating Committee positions and using its best efforts to reflect diversity on both the Board of Directors and the Nominating Committee.
