A candidate for treasurer must meet all of the following criteria at the time of the election:

Member of an ASWB member board (public member or licensed social work) within the preceding two years or a member board administrator
Not currently serving on the ASWB Board of Directors in a term that extends beyond the annual meeting when the election will occur

Candidates for Director at large, licensed/registered social worker must meet all of the following criteria at the time of the election:

Member of an ASWB member board within the preceding two years
Licensed social worker in good standing
Not currently serving on the ASWB Board of Directors in a term that extends beyond the annual meeting when the election will occur

To be slated, a prospective candidate for Director at large, public member must currently serve or have served as a public or consumer member of an ASWB member board within the past two years. No candidate will be slated who is in a current term on the Board of Directors or Nominating Committee that ends after November 2025.

Candidates for Director at large, open must meet the following criteria at the time of the election:

Member of an ASWB member board within the preceding two years (licensed social worker or public member) OR administrator of an ASWB member board
Not currently serving on the ASWB Board of Directors in a term that extends beyond the annual meeting where the election will occur

To be slated, a prospective candidate for the Nominating Committee must currently serve or have served on an ASWB member board within the past two years OR be currently employed as the administrator of an ASWB member board. No candidate will be slated who is in a current term on the Board of Directors or Nominating Committee that ends after November 2025, and Nominating Committee members are prohibited from resigning their seat to run for the Board of Directors.
