Please give a brief biography, including your education, licensure or certification level and employment history:

I am Elizabeth Crone and I live in Little Rock, Arkansas. I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas in 2000. I have been an LCSW since 2002. I started my professional career in 2000 as the Assistant Director of the Student Mental Health Clinic at the University of Arkansas at Medical Sciences. At UAMS my focus was on removing the stigma health care professionals experience when seeking mental health treatment. In 2005, I ventured out into solo private practice. In addition to therapy, I handle all aspects of my practice including administrative duties, financials and insurance. I have built my practice into a thriving business that continues today.

Give a synopsis of your regulatory and professional experience. Please emphasize your involvement with ASWB:

I have attended ASWB Delegate Assembly as the delegate for Arkansas in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. I served as a member on the Bylaws and Resolutions committee in 2022 and 2023. I currently hold the position of Chair of the Bylaws and Resolutions committee. I have experience in drafting a resolution for submission and I assisted with the design of the Resolutions submission video for the ASWB website. I have defended a proposed resolution at the Delegate Assembly. I have been a member of the Arkansas State Licensing Board since 2017. Over the years I have served in the positions of Secretary, and Vice Chair. I am currently Chair of the Arkansas board and Chair of the Complaints committee.

Finally, make a brief statement on the major issues you see facing ASWB, and how you would address them:

I would suggest ASWB carve out a specific timeslot during the leadership meeting, the education meeting and the delegate assembly for anyone interested in being nominated for an ASWB leadership role. This would be a specific time for the nominating committee to focus on meeting members interested in leadership. The meeting would consist of the nominating committee describing all the leadership positions currently open and giving a brief description about the duties of the position. The description would also include any personal qualities and skills that would best fit each position.
